Penangites particularly, and Malaysians in general, often "breakfast out" at kopitiams (coffee-shops) or at hawkers' centres/food courts such as this one near the Chowrasta market in Georgetown, Penang. There'll always be one open early in the morning for breakfast and another late at night for supper. While the watchword of many tourists in Malaysia is "Shop till you drop" the watchword of Penangites is, without doubt, "Eat till you drop." No wonder someone has said that eating is one of the main hobbies of Malaysians!
