Deputy Chief Minister Will Wash Car For A Fee

KUCHING, Dec 14 (Bernama) -- Sarawak Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr George Chan will wash cars tomorrow for a fee.
That is if any member of the public is willing to bid for his service starting from RM50 at the state Finance and Public Utilities Ministry's customers day at the Wisma Bapa Malaysia car park.
This is one of the highlights of the the ministry's meet-the-public-cum-charity programme from 8am to 5pm.
Dr Chan, who is also Industrial Development Minister, told Bernama here Saturday that the idea was to encourage the ministry's officers and the public to meet face-to-face to discuss problems to help improve its services.
He appealed to the public to support the events tomorrow.
Apart from offering car wash services, the ministry's officers will also be involved in the sale of golf clubs and badminton rackets and a jumble sale, the proceeds of which will go to charitable bodies.
