The songs featured in this site give you the best of both worlds – today’s top hits as well as oldies and evergreens going back to the forties and fifties.
Welcome to “Songs of Today, Songs of Yesterday” which has replaced “Songs and Lyrics” in order to keep up with the widespread use of smartphones for internet today.
This site is meant for song-lovers of all ages, both the young and the elderly whose favourite songs by the likes of Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Engelbert Humperdinck, Nat King Cole, Harry Belafonte, Johnny Mathis, Cliff Richard, the Platters, the Beatles and Connie Francis can also be found here. Enjoy this oldie by Elton John called “Can you feel the love tonight?”:
But the mainstay of the site are the top hits of today. In fact for the last couple of years this site has been including all the songs that have made it to the Top 10 of the U.S., U.K., Australian and Canadian charts.
A big THANK YOU to all YouTubers for sharing their video clips with the world. I am sorry I am not able to contact each and everyone of you personally to inform that I have made use of your clips but I hope this exposure will be beneficial to you.
Thank you. – Webmaster
A word on copyright:
Users of this website are urged to support artistes by buying their products wherever possible if they can afford to do so. However it would be a real pity to deprive the underprivileged of hearing the best in music just because they cannot afford to pay for the products. Just think of all the great artistes who come from poor homes and whose talent would have been lost to the world if they had not been exposed to great music just because they cannot afford to pay.
A word about the lyrics:
These have been obtained from various sources. I have been able to go through most of them but not all so there are bound to be errors.
A word about the YouTube clips:
Please note that some of the video clips might not work anymore as they have a tendency to disappear overnight, some of them being removed by their owners or else deleted for copyright infringement.
Note: The YouTube clips might not open if you have an old version of Internet Explorer. In such a case you can either update it or try using another browser such as Firebox or Chrome or Safari instead.
