La Belle Equipe bar at 92 rue de Charonne where 19 people having a drink at the terrace were shot dead. Extensive renovation works have given it a completely new look. The names of some of the victims have been discreetly inscribed on a wall at the terrace (photo below).
Le Petit Cambodge restaurant at the junction of rue Bichat and rue Alibert reopened on March 14, 2016.
Le Carillon bar, which is just opposite Le Petit Cambodge reopened on January 13, 2016.
A La Bonne Biere bar at the junction of rue de la Fontaine-au-Roi and rue du Faubourg du Temple reopened on December 4, 2015, just three weeks after the attacks. It was the first among the six restaurants/bars hit by the synchronized attacks to reopen for business.
The Casa Nostra restaurant, 30 meters away from La Bonne Biere at 2 rue de la Fontaine-au-Roi reopened for business on February 5, 2016.
Another bar, Le Comptoir Voltaire (near Place de la Nation), where no innocents were killed but where a terrorist, Brahim Abdeslam blew himself up, also reopened for business on December 16, 2015.
However renovation works at Le Bataclan concert hall, where 89 people attending a concert were shot dead, are only expected to be completed by the end of 2016. While the exact date of its opening has not been confirmed, a number of concerts have already been programmed. Among the artistes scheduled to perform at Le Bataclan when it reopens are: Pete Doherty, Youssou N'Dour, Nada Surf and MZ.
