Not many people know that there is a dogs' cemetery (Le Cimetière des Chiens) near Paris. Despite its name it is actually a pets' cemetery as it also accepts other animals and is situated near the Pont de Clichy, on the Asnières-sur-Seine side. An old French law of 1898 allows domestic animals to be buried under one metre of earth and at least 100 metres away from any human habitation. Bus No. 54 (you can board it at Pigalle going in the direction of Gabriel Péri Asnières-Gennevilliers) will take you there. Get down at the bus-stop called Léon Blum then walk to the other side of the bridge - the dogs' cemetery is to the left at the end of the bridge. Or you can also get down at "Place Voltaire". There is a famous "film star" buried here. Need a cue? It has "acted" in many Hollywood movies in the twenties (photo below).
The tombstone of its most famous resident, the original Rin Tin Tin itself.
